Don't you hate it when the best-laid plains go awry? I needed a baby gift, had some nice cotton yarn in the stash, and, according to this pattern, I should have had enough to make it. Wrong. I only had half. So, I went stash diving and found two more colors to use and bought another skein of the white. The result is a little bi-polar, but I'm pretending it's some sort of post-modernistic expression. blah blah.
I absolutely love the way it turned out. It's always fun when a "mistake" becomes awesome.
I'm planning to use this stripe pattern for the blanket I'm making for my niece, but I wanted to just make sure that I'm looking at the pictures correctly. Is each stripe 5 rows? And I think I read on Ravelry that you use 6 skeins total?
Thanks for any help! And thanks for the inspiration!
